In this educational and interactive programme, The Necessary Stage brings to the surface the issues of expectation and pressure in school – amongst friends, and within families.
My mother expects me to help her, the school expects me to attend remedial classes, you expect me to go out with you...I don't want to disappoint anyone but I need my own life! What I want most now is taking part in the school Talentime, because I really feel I can do well.
This programme will give Singapore teenagers the chance to air their shared concerns and frustrations and work together to find ways of coping, and solving problems.
