SYNOPSIS
Description
Local celebrity actors including Elaine Cheah, Beatrice Chia, Caleb Goh, Chua En-Lai and Hossan Leong present dramatic readings of excerpts written by various young writers from Singapore and Birmingham.
Organised as part of the Singapore-United Kingdom Playwright's Exchange, a collaboration between The Necessary Stage and Birmingham Repertory Theatre. This week-long series of activities is designed to enrich young playwrights from both Singapore and United Kingdom (UK) with artistic direction and consultancy from Noel Greig (UK Playwright and Director) and Haresh Sharma (Resident Playwright, The Necessary Stage).
