Virtual Reality Lab

How can theatre interact with virtual reality (VR) technology?

VR Lab opens up an opportunity for creators to explore this relationship. Fragments from two scripts penned by Haresh Sharma, namely Don't Forget To Remember Me and Future Perfect, serve as conceptual springboards for experimentation around notions of memory, dementia, world-making and alternate realities.

The practitioners involved will propose briefs that will be executed and evaluated, to see if there is potential for further development. These permutations may or may not involve audience members when shared through a livestream session or sessions at the end of the laboratory

Visions of Utopia

Alvin was invited to be a Panellist at the Singapore Dreaming Conference, for the panel "Visions of Utopia", alongside Eunice Seng and Alfian Sa'at, moderated by Dan Feng.  Singapore Dreaming is a two year project by Asian Urban Lab where leading artists, academics, professionals and other thinkers across diverse disciplines share and explore alternative visions of a Singapore that is sustainable, creative and vibrant.

It is a ground up initiative that aims to move beyond layers of constraints – whether dogmatic or structural – to imagine all alternatives. It allows us to think the unthinkable, and to formulate new possibilities.

Seniors take centre stage! Join us as we present an afternoon of interactive theatre where you, the audience, get to participate. Two topical issues will be covered in this forum theatre production, The first is divorce amongst seniors. In recent times, more couples are seeking divorces in their old age. Why is this the case? The second is abandonment of the elderly. Why do some families leave their elderly family members at the void deck while they are away to work? How can we help them?
