A lift attendant of a cabaret club thinks he's in love with a drag queen. The drag queen is the only reason why he feels his stay in a foreign country is tolerable. The only problem is he does not believe that she is a he. Instead, he believes that she is the one he has been waiting for. Glaringly over-the-top and fluidly surreal. There is a "thing" at the bottom of the pool, or isn't there? A man, obviously obsessive-compulsive and occasionally paranoid, loses sleep over it. A woman, apparently unperturbed, challenges him about that "thing" in the pool. Somehow, a taxi-driver is involved. Go figure.

Thicker than Water deals with the facts & myths of HIV and AIDS, including the prejudices and fear that surround it. How it can and will affect teenagers. Two young friends, with their whole lives before them, believe that anything is possible. But what happens when one of them discovers he is HIV positive. Prejudices are confronted and the friendship tested as he struggles to tell his best friend about his illness. 

A group of people are cast out of their homelands, forced to travel across oceans, through refugee camps and over mountains. Some struggle to find their way home, while others desperately look for new lives. A mother who has lost her child, a soldier forced to kill his buddy, a bride and groom trying to get married, a general who wants to rule the world, and a god who wants to end it all.

Completely With/Out Character was a play devised by Alvin Tan, Haresh Sharma And Paddy Chew. This is a landmark production in Singapore, featuring the first man in Singapore who came out in public to talk About his experience as a HIV victim.
