In Late Nights, we witness how a family undergoes a predicament of bringing up an adolescent daughter. What are the channels of communication available and how does a typical Singaporean family manage tensions and conflicts?

As we watch this family handle this situation, many possibilities may appear in our imagination. Art often reflects life and this situation is something some families undergo. Sometimes living together for a long time makes it more difficult to communicate and we often opt to sweep things under the carpet than address them.

This short work does not make any strong recommendations as to how such a situation should be handled. This is to avoid a general prescription as each case would have to be handled in a unique way as life is not so black and white.

In Waiting, we watch three waiters going through ups and downs together. As we journey with them, we realise that they are a kind of family as well. The work place is like a family. We spend lots of time at work and over time, we experience each others' idiosyncrasies, work-styles and attitudes. With some acceptance and understanding, we come round to having to deal with each other. Time and a listening ear can be all that matters when we need some attention and appreciation.

Upon studying the types and lifes of wasps, I have discovered the likes of social wasps, paper wasps and yellow jackets otherwise known as Vespula Vulgaris. It is an exploration of both opinions of silence and opinios that intend to injure or damage. A preformative structure will be installed to create an environment in which the complex relationships between the mass media and public opinion will be juxtaposed and challenged.

Travelling. Singing. Food. Incense. Forgetting. Remembering. Out of Body. Out of Sight. Out of Mind. Using a fragmented collage made up of text, images and music, this theatrical exploration will scrutinise issues and themes in the various permutations of the universal parent/child relationship.

While we accredit the reason for our existence to many factors, an important and light-heated thing often goes amiss. The thing called faith. The Bluest Flame is an interpretation of this element through a dance in the spirit, presented as an offering to a special friend, Isa.

Freak Sons & Daughters is a tragedy at its comic best! Come face to face with the unique and strange bonds that exist between family members. It is about black sheep and odd balls, pillars of strength and curses, all within two perfectly normal families. Dangerously funny, is a must-see for anyone who knows what it is like to have a family.

This play will look at the importance of taking responsibility for our environment. Find out how growing "tow gay" for a science experiment can have many consequences! Through scenarios that affect the personal, larger environmental issues will also be looked at and discussed in a fun and interesting manner. This programme aims to encourage students to not take their surroundings for granted, and to think about how they impact on others, and the larger environment.

The Necessary Stage's Black Box will be transformed into a nightclub of performances, stand-up comedy and of course, dance!

Starring a mix of local actors and young celebrities such as Elaine Cheah, Melody Chen, Caleb Goh and Rodney Oliverio, the night will be hosted by comedian, Hossan Leong. Catch DJs from Zouk spinning hits, and students from the Multi-media Department at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts will be contributing a visual feast of images and video clips to the night.
